Good day everyone,
I'm so glad that I found this forum, it has great information.
So recently I purchased 94' KLX 650. It is my first bike, so I do not have a lot of experience with motorbiking.
Just for precaution I decided to check the valve clearance. When I opened the of the head I found out that camshaft cap was broken and welded, part of the fixing screws where missing and most part of the screws was not original
Also I noticed that KACR has quite a lot of wobbling (at least in my non experienced knowledge) from the main fixing rivet.
So now I am wondering what to do next and what to check to prevent any more damage ?
Oh by the way bike starts with no bigger issues and runs quite normal in my opinion ( that's why I bought it )
Broken camshaft cap. Looking for possible reasons....

Hello Mutax
i haven't been in this forum for ages and it don't look very busy, but i just want to answer your post.
Which part of the world you calling your home?
I have 4 KLX650 (one Supermoto running, one customised with motorhead problems, two bikes for parts or to build up again.)
The head seem to be the weakest part of this bike. I'm busy to fix one, damaged by the KACR.
Your one do not look good, as far as i can see from the photos. Special the camshaft bearings.
